Abstract: (3577 Views)
Conventionally, a film of TiO2 particles of ~300 nm size is employed in dye-sensitized solar cells as the back reflector film to enhance the light harvesting. In this study, silver reflector film was used to investigate the light absorption in different parts of cells. Optical calculations demonstrate that the light absorption is increased in transparent conductive oxide glass, electrolyte, Platinum, and especially in sensitized TiO2 layer when silver reflector film was used. This causes a 26% enhancement in photocurrent.
