The effete of solvent on the nonlinear absorption of multi walled carbon nano tube functionalized with carboxylic acid group was studied. The multi -walled carbon nanotube show optical limiting effect .The study of absorption nonlinearity was studied by z-scan technique and by second harmonic line of a NdYAG laser . our resalts showed that the non-linear absorption of the sample suspended in toluene shows better than DMF.
