Abstract: (3860 Views)
A Physical model for instability in organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) is presented. In OLED, instability manifests itself as a monotonic temporal decrease in luminous intensity. The mechanism underlying instability in OLED is shown to be associated with dispersive transport involving hopping between trap states in the light-emitting layer. The proposed model exhibits quantitative agreement with measured luminous intensity data.
