Abstract:   (686 Views)
Variations in properties due to graphene oxidation on one hand lead to the development of applications of graphene and materials based on it and on the other hand is considered as a disturbing factor in graphene research. One way to oxidize graphene is to use ultraviolet light. Using appropriate tools to distinguish graphene from oxidized graphene and studying the characteristics of each one can be useful in advanced research goals. In this work, a mercury lamp has been used as a source of ultraviolet light and the process of oxidation of graphene exposed to ultraviolet light has been investigated by Raman spectroscopy. The evoluation of graphene spectra, including the disappearance of the 2D peak and the emergence of the D peak, confirms the oxidation of the sample. The intensity and position of D peak increase as a function of exposure time.
