In this research, based on Nd: YAG pulsed solid state laser at 1064 nm, variable reflectivity laser mirrors(VRM)  with Gaussian order n=2 with reflection of 15% and n=5 with reflection of 20% have been designed and manufactured. Comparison of experimental and theoretical results, indicates the accurate implementation of coating and adjustment of design parameters. These mirrors were installed in a Q-switched resonator arrangement and tested at a repetition rate of 10Hz at 100mJ/pulse with a pulse width of 12ns. Microscopic examinations show the absence of destructive effects on the coated surfaces.
