Nitride quantum dots in the form of 3D truncated pyramids and with non-uniform size distribution of the QDs have been considered as active region of the superluminscent light emitting diodes. The 3D Schrodinger equation has been solved numerically by finite volume method, eigen values and eigen functions have been obtained for this structure. The structure of superluminscent diode has been considered as bent waveguide with embedded trench. The effect of size inhomogeneity in the width of emission spectrum and output power has been surveyed.
