Abstract: (774 Views)
A digital micromirror device is made up of an array of pixels in amplitude light modulator which is used in a variety of applications. Any of these pixels at some time may not work and hence have a considerable effect on the quality of output beam. In this paper, various incomplete Fresnel lenses are designed and displayed on the spatial light modulator to investigate the effect of dead pixels on focusing behavior of laser beam. We observe that although the beams produced with these incomplete lenses are less intense, these beams all are focused perfectly.
