Abstract: (2557 Views)
we demonstrated the mode evolution during the tapering process of single mode optical fiber through the short time Fourier transform analysis. We propose this method for characterization of tapered fiber. This results allow us to be able to optimize the tapering process to control the radius of tapered fibers, the number of modes and their propagation constants.
Keywords: Tapered fiber, short time Fourier transform, mode coupling, mode evolution, microfiber/nanofiber
