Abstract: (1434 Views)
In this paper, a metal-insulator-metal (MIM) plasmonic sensor based on two consecutive disk resonators is presented and analyzed by the finite difference time domain (FDTD) method. The calculated sensitivity, the figure of merit, and the quality factor of this refractive index sensor are 1450 nm/RIU, 241.66 RIU-1, and 242.83, respectively, which indicates an improved performance compared to the previously reported refractive index sensors.
